Costa Calida Travel Guide

Costa Calida, which means warm coast, is a region located in the Spanish province of Murcia. The coast stretches about 250 km of Mediterranean coastline and has a micro-climate featuring comparatively hot annual temperatures. Blessed with 315 days of sunshine, the region is a popular tourist destination. Besides, the area also offers a diverse selection of activities that include number of water sports, hiking, hill-climbing and many more.

The Regional Park of Las Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar is just a few kilometres away from Costa Calida. It is the most important wetlands in the Murcia region. It is an ideal place for nature lovers. Lo Pagan, a town known for its largest area of open-area mud baths in Europe is just two kilometres away from Costa Calida. A few minutes away is Cabo de Palos, the charming seafront village that boast delightful beaches and a 19th century lighthouse.

Some popular attractions of the city include the excellent buildings of Town Hall and several churches. Take the coastal road towards southwest and you will reach Aguilas, the old Roman fishing port.
