In the province it is the most westerly municipality. The range of area sweeps from the lower Genal Valley down to the coast. The region basically has high hills gentally covered with vineyard. St. Anne’s Church is the architectural highlight of the village which is two kilometers from the coast. Sabinillas stands on the coast which is the second Architecture from the time of Charles III. This region basically consists of large beaches and apart of it has several places to visit such as Pleasure Harbor and Punta Chullera Tower.

During the war of independence these are the only few places which could not be invaded by Napoleon’s troops. “Most noble and loyal village” name is given to this place on behalf of this achievement only. The people of this village are simple and nice
