Oviedo Travel Guide

Oviedo the principal city in northern Spain. This city is also known by the name of the municipality which contains the city. Oviedo this is the commercial, economic, and cultural centre of the northern Spain region. This city is the host of prestigious annual awards known as Prince of Asturias Awards. The city is said to be founded in 761 by two monks Máximo and Fromestanus. In the past the city is said to be the centre of unique and original architecture whose signs can be spotted till this time by the visitors who are reaching there. The city is governed by a council form of government.

There are several places were the beautiful work of architecture can be seen some of them are as following Cathedral of San Salvador, Santa María del Naranco a hall with large pavilion constructed in the 9th century. The basic climate of Oviedo is moderate it has mild winters and hot summers.
