Santiago, also known as Santiago de Compostela, is the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. The city is located at an altitude of 260m above sea level and is just 76km from LaCoruña, 111km from Ourense and 117km from Pontevedra. The city is best known as the final destination of the legendary medieval way of pilgrimship Way of Saint James. The site is today considered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This fantastic monument today attracts visitors from all over the world.
